Visit and training seminar “Health Economy and Financing” for the delegation from Tajikistan republic, 1-14 of June 2003


On the 1-14 of June, 2003 Delegation of the representatives from Ministry of Health, other health care authorities, Ministry of Finances and Presidency from the Republic of Tajikistan visited Lithuania and participated in a 2 weeks training seminar organized by Health Economics Centre.
Guests from Tajikistan were introduced to the Lithuanian health care structure and financing system, as well as some other health care systems in Europe and the experience of the implementation of the Health Insurance system.

Members of the delegation were trained essentials of health economics and at the end of the courses participants were issued certificates. Trainings were financed by World Bank project.


Members of the delegation also visited Parliament (The Seimas) of Lithuanian Republic; Health Affairs Committee and National Health Board, State Patient Fund and Vilnius Territorial Patient Fund, Vilnius health care institutions (Cardio Surgery Clinic, Vilnius University Santariskes Clinics, private GP office, Centras polyclinic
